Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a mood piece as much as a game. You explore a hushed village wrapped in fog, solving gentle environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened there. The art is gorgeous and the sound design does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Nothing rushes you. Puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic, so we rarely felt stuck for the wrong reasons. When we did get stuck, the answer was usually something we'd walked past twice.

It's a shorter experience — a few evenings, maybe — but it lingers afterward. If you want a phone game that feels like a small illustrated novel, start here.
